As of 12/21/2009 the testing is going well and i see only a short list of bugs left.

All I can say, is my hat is off to ALL you guys that are actually REALLY attempting to improve this incredible classic.

Working D3D9 renderer has been out for a little while now. Looks great. Check it out.

I tried out the new exe and the latest one is working great on my machine (Vista64). I'm getting around 150 to 250 FPS in SP missions, the models are attached to the terrain properly and textures are staying put

The latest build looks pretty good. The resolution is fabulous but there's a practical limit to keep from squinting too much...

True. Unfortunately, I don't have a good way to scale the HUD.

Yea, the chat is the worse part. I can see my health and ammo well enough but the chat is tiny and disappears pretty quickly. If that were scaled, the rest could be left alone.
