I guess it had to happen eventually...

Post by {911}scrapmkr »

New stratter on the list - 911 scrapmkr. He was away since early 2007, and now he's back. I played him few times during those days (2006-2007), when he was at his peak and when I was still a newbie. At that point he seemed decent to me, something like Micha, but what did I know back then. For the record, I started my career with a loss against Micha, while Scrappy never came close to a victory.

He plays like this: he makes a lot of guntowers around his recy, then he starts entering his vehicles and ejecting, making scrap, trying to snipe something while in the air. You can choose; howie him or wait till his scavs run him over enough times. :) Once I saw him in a rocket tank, cometing my base, giving scrap to me, while I was closing him down. When I came too close he had to go (something like Jens). To each his own.
From over on the basement dweller's forum...

Golly the guy can make up a story.

away since early 2007? Longer than that fool. To my knowledge I've never played you speckle. and we certainly didn't play in 2006-2007. and my peak playing time was 1998- early 2001. So you don't know dink as usual.

I have to admit speckle your description of my game play is a hoot. a lot of gun towers? ya, ask around. most games I win I don't even HAVE a recycler at the end. I never use rocket tanks either. But hey, your little toy poodle players over there wont' know the difference right?

The only scrap I ever make is other people's units, and if I used a comet on your base, you'd not have a base would you? Oh and I never quit a game either, any game. That's why my K/D ratio on Warrock is crap.

LOL

funny story coming from a guy that is hiding behind a firewall.

Heheh
Yes, sounds like one of his made-up war stories, all right.

If the tables were turned, I might describe him thusly:

"typically, Spock (a.k.a. Armstrong) and his brother/boyfriend (you decided) will join a game when it's open. minor pleasantries will be exchanged and the five minute build rule is laid out.
Some time after that 5 minutes, spock and/or hal arrive alone, in a grizzly. you find it amusing, because you've just spend five minutes setting up defenses and feverishly building up your troops like you have on that map a thousand times before preparing for an opponent you are unfamiliar with. but something is amiss. now generally speaking, Grizzlies don't fire WASPS. They can't, in fact. But there you are and Spock's tank is doing just that. Not only that, but he doesn't seem to run out of them. Don't know the ammo cost of a wasp off the top of my head, but one would could make a reasonable guesstimate that you can't fire a whole lot of them. But the scrap cost per wasp is a moot point. they don't go in grizzlies.
this is the reaction to getting a pretty effortless beatdown, apparently."

That was actually one of my first experiences playing spock.

You aren't missing much, Scrappy.

Dummy,

You are nobody. Back when I was a newbie was the only time you could beat me, but I have since evolved. I am strat pro and top notche player.

Again, this is simply a place for hackers to exchange their hacks and subtle tweaks to destroy BZ. Even though my BZ releases and "patches" are pirated versions of BZ as well (because ownership is still claimed over the rights of BZ even till today albeit it may not be Activision, and if anyone had the time I could probably get into trouble and be forced to cease and desist the downloads, and I also make alterations to the game and redistribute it for free, which voids the user license agreement I agreed to when I clicked "Agree" before installing BZ, but since I live in a country that eats worms, the laws dont apply to me) I still like to claim that BZE is pirated since I am also a top notch hypocrite.

I am releaser and creator of BZ 1998 mod. Even though I have absolutely no knowledge of programming whatsoever, I like to beg for code and tools from reaper and harangue Ken Miller for months to get a fix done which, upon releasing, I will of course take credit for myself.

JUSTIN BIEBER <3

EDIT: I plan on reading this post I just typed again and quickly run back to my forum nervous and claim to have simply ignored it so I can get my fellow Bieber fans to post and make me feel better. It works every time <3

LOL, Green,

I know I'm not missing anything. I've seen the hapless strat videos he's posted.

I'm abundantly clear on his inability to bring anything to the table in a strat game.

But hey, at least he's got Bieber to think about.

This almost reminds me of the old days on the activision server when po accused me of using the 21" monitor cheat. Those were the days.

I realize anyone who has actually been exposed to spock for any length of time knows this already, but pretty much anything spock writes, ultimately, has little to do with the actual details at hand.

His posts are all centered around promoting the impression of superior skill of BZ, (usually strat) and how his skill is far superior to the person he is referring to. If he finds the player's skill-sets to be an insurmountable challenge, the player quickly finds himself either branded as a hack. . . or. . .if that proves inadequate to dampen the player's game-play difficulty and/or his "evaluation", access to his server becomes inaccessible.

You gotta love it for the simplicity.

He's had a lot of time to practice since he doesn't have a job, schoolwork, friends, or a girlfriend, like everyone else who posts on his forum.

The children on his forums spend their time between BZ sessions popping zits instead of drinking jager.

Spock's done so much for BZ he's practically part of the original BZ development team!

As far as I can tell the only thing speckle has done for BZ is cut down on the number players playing the game. The funny thing is he thinks he's ridding the world of hackers. but get real, bz never had the hackers to the level of other games I've played.

Load up Warrock, no more than 2 games into playing you'l have some clown pop in and throw grenades and kill everybody on the whole map. it is just nuts.

I don't usually go picking on kids because they're.. kids.. but here's a perfect example of how absent minded the children on his forums are:

So you are a master of psychology and deductive reasoning, just as Spock is, yes?

lol I love how he uses the term "party" to try to make it sound more formal, as if it's a quote from some prestigious psychologist, or he read it from his high-level Psychology honors class or something.

Care to explain why I have like 3 posts for the month of October so far, and you have already matched that in 1 single topic on his forums? Seems to me like you're the one who doesn't get out that much.

I realize you need to take stabs at me to try to prove to Spock you're still on his side, but hey, nice try!

what's even funnier Xtreme is that they are redirecting away from Bieberfever to fantasy pictures of YOU!

you giant hairy studmuffin you.

though I must admit I'm feeling glad they are fantasizing about you and not me.

I'm reminded of one of Richard Pryor's bits.

I'd tell a lie and he'd tell a lie, and we'd complement each other's lies.

That's right speckle we find you and your merry band amusing, much like a cat is amused by a mouse.

Actually he had over 30 posts in October so far, not 10, and the time I made that post I had about 3. But really, who cares? I already know I'm right and you "child-men" are all creepy as hell.

Anyway sorry for threadjacking you scrappy lol. Done now, I'm definitely wasting my time.

Spork is right. BFT tries to come off as top notche player. He is only silly DMer with subtle Joystick button tweaks that he hopes no one will notice.

BFT only chooses to play in BZE where he can exploit his Joystick advantage. He is well known-joystick benefitter. We all know that using a joystick increases your FPS by at least 30 (the standard in BZ is 60 fps, so increasing 30 fps is 50% increase) to gain unfair advantage over unsuspecting players.

There is no use in trying to correct a small-minded DMer.

No one in BZ can hack and not get caught. BZ Police are always on the lookout, and they keep Joystick benefitters like you out of BZ 1.4. According to BZ Strat Tournament, I am top notch player and higher-skill level than most (if not all) in BZ except for maybe HAL. Don't try to accuse me of banning hackers when accusing others for same.

I am master of true BZ (strat) and you only indulge in BZ Practice (DM.)

Don't you mean the "hack slappers?"

Actually, I always assumed that meant some group of BZ hackers in Spockistan involved in some kind of virtual circle-jerk.

Speaking of securing personal information... here's another level of Spocks creepyness and obsession over control that his new users (if there are ever any real ones) are subjected to upon registration:

Image

"Full name"? lol wtf. Yeah let me just put in my real full name, since this is apparently like a credit card application or something.

If someone clicks on your profile, will they see your real name, Mr. Creeper?

He uses that so if they do put their real name in there he can Facebook them, or use other methods of acquiring their personal data. He's done it before many times, with Oc Techx for one.

Image

I'd be surprised if even the kids on his forum were stupid enough to put their name in there.

I set 2 requirements on forums i run too.
How long have you played Battlezone:
What do you play most, DM Strat or missions:

If i get any improper answers that person or spam bot will likely be deactivated and any posts removed.

Asking for someones full name and date of birth on a game forum is ridiculous.

What next, phone number, address and photo ID. :P (I can see the BattleZone ID cards coming lol)

Maybe BFT can give him his Bomber Pilot License with rank and security clearence level. ;)

•First it is ridiculed
•Then it is violently opposed
•Finally it is widely accepted as self evident

Exactly. And I noticed those fields that you added, and there's nothing wrong or personal about that at all, they're just 2 Battlezone-related questions.

Asking for your full name is really, really creepy IMO. Especially with the Croats and the tactics they use for harassment of honest players.

Actually, I think the funniest part of his post here is referring to himself as a n00b in 2006-2007.
Maybe he forgot his old name. Or that he repeatedly tells everyone he's been playing since the glory days.
