BZ servers

Hello guys,

It's a pretty long time i have been away from the BZ game and community. Thanks to BFT i'm trying to approach again to the game. I'm still try to solve my compatibility problem (I got win vista).

I was directed by a player in the lobby (who knows who was he ) to go to wwwbattlezone1.net to "download the right 1.4 installer".
I realized it was the Spock BZ site. Of course my curiosity led me to have a look and I saw a kind of deep insanity there, but the problem is:
what is the actual servers set up now?
probably due to my low "compatibility" with the PC world i didn't understand really the situation, but it seems to me that there is a BZC server (or more than one - for sure the FirBirGir's one) and one or more owned by a Spock supporter, am I right?

Can anybody explan me what is the server(s) where plays who?
Since I got a differnt IP from my previous one I was also think to join the "dark side" under coverage (ehehehehe) the problem is that the "hckers slapper" uniform is a little bit freaky for my tastes (and too much kinky!!)

Hi FOX19,
There are 6 servers, one being stealth, so here are the 5 public servers.
bz1.net is owned by spocks buddy Spectre, two 911 are Eddies, and the two servers on the bottom are Gen-x's servers. (Genx is no longer around saying from now on he'll just be a memory in bz)

Fox, if you don't see at least 2 servers in any/all flavors of BZ, the servers.dat file is probably read only and can't be automatically updated.

Actually, I see all the 5 servers and I connected only 2 times and only saw people on the (sigh) bzone1.net

Now I know what is going on.

No, you saw bots on Spocks server. I was in that community for over a year and 97% of the time it was filled with bots, or as Spock claims- "people running BZ lobby in the background as they browse the internet."

I've tried also BzE game (I have the 1.11 version) and actually there is only 1 server (the 911.alink.bz.911 or something like this - I wrote by memory) is that all?

Are there more servers there?

Version 1.11p is out and it has 3 servers listed but you will probably only see 2 (3rd is a development server). With version 1.11, there is only one server listed.

Grab 1.11p if you haven't done so yet.

Quite true.
FOX, if you were to monitor the IP addresses you would see that all those people "AFK" are usually just one or two different IP addresses....or as Sno said, bots.

Generally speaking we are mostly on the BZE servers.
If we play on BZ we'll pre-arrange it in BZE.

Hey Guys,

I have to reinstall windoze my install got corrupted on my gaming computer.

dunno what happened. but I have to slap in a new drive and do an install and a recovery.

However, the girls want Christmas decorations up.


AND the wifey wants the kitchen painting completed.

so no trendy shop destruction for a bit more

These are tired excuses, Scrappy.
Windows install takes between 30 minutes - 10 minutes.

Painting a kitchen takes a good afternoon.

Putting up decorations? s**t I did that at the beginning of the month.

Hope you were done your Christmas shopping in all those trendy shops, because come boxing week there isn't gonna be much left.

bumbler. I'm painting the cabinets. the walls won't even take an hour, total.

but I have to clean/sand/prime and prime again(what fun that is) to get a uniform base for the top coat.

I have the foyer in the house filled with 2 step ladders and a steel tube with all of the painted cabinet doors hanging all finished.
