Spiceworks!

Post by Sno »

I have been using a magnificent network monitoring software program called Spiceworks to manage my home network. It tells me EVERYTHING about the connected systems in a clean, simple yet extensive interface. Since I know some of you are in the IT field or are IT savvy, I thought I'd share what I use-

Take a gander at it, it's free and might be useful for those with BZ network issues.

Yeah I like spiceworks...especially the price

However, my agency, for whatever reason, decided they should spend money on ExpressMetrix

The only thing, i think ExpressMetrix does that Spiceworks doesn't (correct me if I'm wrong, Sno, since my experience with Spiceworks is somewhat limited) is it deploys an agent to all the workstations within the network, giving you the ability to do things like block programs from running. When we were testing it I would block flash on computers used by people I knew used flash games as a time waster. :)
The only unsatisfying thing about that was you know they'd never call the IT department to report a problem with flash games, so I never got to hear the concern in their voices or see the looks on their faces.

They'll understand the free part :!:

But of course, you'll have to say ZIP, ZILCH, NADA, $0.00 for them to understand the concept of FREE

PS: Why are you concentrating on the weird costume lady when the woman on the far left is in ROLLED UP SHORT SHORTS AND A BIKINI TOP!

I wasn't concentrating on her, but it's hard to miss her. I was concentrating on the woman on the left until you interrupted me, Sno.

And how tall is that guy? Jesus.
