I realize it's early in development, but the graphics look circa 2008.

Kind of reminds me of 'Dead Space 2' crossed with 'Aliens vs Predators'.

The game play looks like it might be good, but my money is on PlanetSide 2
PlanetSide 2
PlanetSide was my second favorite game next to BZ

I played the crap out of Planetside, loved that game. I especially loved the hovercraft plane - great for Dogfights, devastating against ground forces and fast for travel. Swarms of them could swing a battle in a matter of seconds.

I'm happy to see a new version coming out. Hopefully it will attract the same kind of numbers the first one did.

Never played it. It looks like Tribes. Is it similar?

No, not much like tribes which is match-based (some of the armor load outs were tribes-like). Planetside was a world with 4 or 5 continents that were constantly being contested by 3 factions. The continents held several domed cities that could be conquered by taking down the shield generator then overrunning the defenses. The majority of the fighting population formed juggernauts that rolled across the continents smashing anything that got in the way. When two juggernauts ran into each other, the fights could get so intense that the server would shut down. Some of us worked away from the juggernauts and took cities with more stealth and strategy, using small hit squads to take down the generators then booby trap the base and kill off dozens before needing to retreat.

Take a look on youtube, I'm sure you can find some planetside videos.
