Re: Quantum Locking
I wonder what would happen with 2 superconductors on the track...

Re: Quantum Locking
It appears to be an excellent application for the containment of anti-matter.

Re: Quantum Locking
Very interesting that the two magnetic fields do not interact with each other. Makes me want to rethink superconductors now...

Re: Quantum Locking
Large scale, this may be applicable for earth quake mitigation for buildings.

Re: Quantum Locking
I don't see this being much more than a novelty till ambient temperature superconductors arrive.

Or some fluke way of cooling down the conductor is discovered...

Re: Quantum Locking
This is already a viable technology being used with the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
I've been following this tech in Omni and Scientific American magazines.
It's helping to pave the way for cold fusion. If you'll pardon the pun

I'm referring to this Quantum Locking phenomenon, not superconduction.BZROM wrote:This is already a viable technology being used with the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

Re: Quantum Locking
Ahh hell, I'll post it over here too.
I've attempted to illustrate the basics of the Uni-Pulse below. I have yet to find a colloquial term in my cc
archives for 'Quantum Locking' first observed in the early 60's, however the Uni-Pulse parallels this "new"
phenomenon and exhibits similar underlying physics.

>Full Res Version<
As a few may know by now, or at least be partially aware, one of the phenomena of the Uni-Pulse has been replicated in a government sponsored lab in Israel led by Professor Guy Deutscher. As I have mentioned in a past thread, Israel was provided a few pounds of Bio-metal in the early to mid 1970’s. Through decades of experimentation, along with the material assistance of ultra-low temperature superconduction, the effect has been partially replicated, albeit only under super-cooled conditions. The discoverers decided to coin the non bio-metal cone beam phenomenon “Quantum Locking” or initially referred to as “Quantum Trapping”.
But as this effect was described decades previous by a lab technician in the early 1960's at the OXCART facility at Skunkworks, this sapphire/superconductor laminate resulting in “Quantum Locking” is only an offshoot of the main pulse effect the investigators have yet to replicate. I have yet to find a specific name given to the effect from my cc collection.
