I'm with AHadley here. There certainly are some that fit Sno's pigeon hole but it's hardly representative of the movement as a whole.

Imagine if US Congressman did that
I have an article on my phone by the Associated Press that referred to Fawkes masks as "clown masks." Needless to say, I dropped their news feed.

AP, eh? Either doing work to discredit protest or completely oblivious to the reference.

The above video shows that there is NO shortage of engineers and high tech candidates, but there are NO jobs for them. The H-1B system isn't flawed, but the companies that use them are. Many of the folks at my college do not see themselves wanting to travel much for their degree, they want to stay in the same region. So, perhaps this is a problem in itself -- I do see numerous overseas jobs posted for US citizens in Australia, NZ, Europe and holy cow: Iceland?
Maybe I've gotten too used to traveling and am brainwashed for wanting to do travel for my career, but if companies bring over legit workers and new grad's don't want to leave mommy and daddy, there's going to be a bottleneck somewhere.
Foreign travel = Getting nifty trinkets, dealing with many connections overseas, getting to see other cultures, better beer for me =)

Agree, Sno.
I don't know why so many people get hung up on travel. Get out there and see the world, right?
And yeah, Iceland kind of actually is awesome.

lol nah
Toronto Police don't need brutality training from anyone. They've got a pretty decent reputation for it all on their own.

One of the OWS showed up at my door a few days ago, some kid like 6'4" and acne all over his neck and face.
He starts telling me about Warren Buffett not paying taxes etc.. and wanted me to fill out some stupid paper, like i care.

The way he was dressed, i think he's homeless. lol
But if the politicians didn't missmanage the country, noone should need to pay taxes, we would be lending other countries money and getting enough interest to run the government.

Re: 'Occupy' Protests
To lend money ya gotta have it in the first place.
I'm not opposed to taxes as they pay for things that are necessary....unfortunately they also pay politicians salaries while they get kickbacks from lobbies.

That's why i said the country was mismanaged, we should have enough money after 236 years to run the place on interest.hitchcockgreen wrote:To lend money ya gotta have it in the first place.![]()

That's the ideal situation for any country. Unfortunately politicians don't serve the public.

Paying NO taxes suggests the government has found a system to conduct its necessary services for nothing, or very little, if all the natural resources, here and in the future, are conceded to the state.FFAxTomcat480 wrote:Dx hit the markif the politicians didn't missmanage the country, noone should need to pay taxes, we would be lending other countries money and getting enough interest to run the government.

Being a governor now almost means jack crap, some fed departments exist just to bring misery to the state. Don't even get me started on earmarks.
