You may have heard;
Canada is getting rid of the penny. Finally.

Here it was costing about 1.67 cents to produce a penny. I have read it's around 1.8 cents in the U.S.
So when you guys getting rid of yours?

Oh and those plastic notes are something to get used to....
They've only rolled out the $100 bills so far, but $50s and $20s should be out in circulation very soon.

I should get some, convert to Canadian banks and be ready when the US dollar gets the bank holiday devaluation.

There was some discussion about it in some state govt's, dunno if it went to D.C. though. They concluded it's necessary to have and will only drive up costs. :roll:

That was the reasoning from the politicians who said we needed to pass the health care mandate so they can see what's in it. Like the unsuspected $16 Trillion cost that was just discovered :o
