Absolutely. You'd spend more time travelling to points of interest rather than actually recording them.

Use of the observer craft would be much better placed in a game where all parties are each recording with fraps along with a neutral player in an observer craft.
The video would then best be stitched and edited together.
(For base set ups and initial prep I imagine a PIP or split screen approach and the UFO serving best for air footage of larger skirmishes)

For streaming however I think you'll be stuck with individual viewpoints. Not that that's a bad thing.

On a side note, I just imaged 16 computers for clients that have 'ahem' bze installed.

We'll see if that leads to anything. ;)

Sno, Firestorm... have either of you played with any of the capture software?
I downloaded two of the recommended software titles but didn't think much of either of them.
Of course, I didn't spend too much time on the second and the first just aggravated me. :)

I've only seen XSplit used a lot on Justin/Twitch.tv, and I've noticed that VideoLAN can stream also. I'm not sure which is better or worse though -- I'll probably end up making a test channel for it and seeing how it runs. Perhaps the 'streamers' should add one another on skype/IM/TeamSpeak etc to work this out. I'm not sure what steps are needed for this type of thing, I just wanna show BZ's britches to a larger audience =)

That's the nicest thing anyone ever said about Tails. ;)

The only thing I've ever been exposed to was Procaster for livestream. Always seems to be an pro at creating problems.

I suppose having a stream for each player might be an interesting perspective. Ya know, letting viewers join up with their favorite player.

Hmm, never knew that some of those e-sports games had a built-in delay, although I saw that used as a plot point for an anime where they had a broadcaster delay a broadcast to screw up the enemies' intel. I just think it's a good idea to look into due to everything that it's done for Starcraft 1 & 2, and it's not like you had to have observers for EVERY game you player there, either.

From what I'm told, star craft is finally losing favour in Korea to web-based games like Maple Story lol

Too bad a Korean language version of biz was never made - they'd still be playing it today in numbers of hundreds or even thousands.

Just a quick note, I'm prepping for a trip soon and won't be available for the next week... I'll try to keep in touch, but dunno how that'll go.

It can be done if i had a translator to edit files for both the game and the installer.
Ofc if the language is normally read vertically, i would need a bit of programming help.

It could be translated, for sure. I'm sure that could even be arranged.
Too bad Blue hasn't managed to pick up much Korean in the some 10 years he's lived there.

I guess having a copy of the Japanese BZ source would be a big help.
