Combining Forces for BZ Sake???

One or more of the big games sites would probably be interested in running a human interest article of the game and it's last 10 years of history, especially if a group of "fans" grabbed the BZ name for a song.

Okay called quit a few places today. Atari's support & anything to do with licensing or holdings is a waste of time. The parent company is Infogames & their main base is in France. I've tried every way possible to get ahold of someone from Atari to see where it goes, but they are either as clueless as to what battlezone is or anything to do with rights. many of the phones & support lines are disconnected for Atari, even their California base seems to of closed down.

I tried Infogames phone number 1-408-985-1700 in Santa Clara, but it looks like it's been disconnected - so the only other option is to call the MAIN headquarters in France which we will try & get Dobermann to do.

So it appears as if the name Battlezone is in deep limbo at worst and can used freely as one wishes at best.

I wouldn't mention Battlezone at all until they ask for what game you're referring to. The main objective is getting to the correct person or department that handles copyright and stuff related to legal matters with Atari. They will have a database or filings that include the rights and IP matters with Battlezone, the staff you're talking to are very unlikely to know what Battlezone is (or was).

The person your speaking to before you even get to the right person wants to know what you are calling for & one questions leads into another. It's a big cat & mouse to find the right person. I've left 5 messages on phones, only one returned my call, which was the first one I ever left (they ignore after that??)

The name isn't important, it is best to tell them You are interested in making an offer for IP rights they currently own, who can you contact who is authorized to handle it. If the guy answers the phone, he is not the one you want. Move up the ladder.

The New York location is Infogrames subsidiary of Atari. Tried contacting Atari, clueless employees who transfer you to more clueless employees so trying the main headquarters in France (Infogrames themselves).

Infogrames is the parent of Atari they own it all.

I dont think the actual person wants to talk about bathroom remodeling, more like remodeling their server, forum, & integrity. If it was the other way around, I'm sure those posts would've been deleted & the user banned by now, go figure that this stays up

And why not? Helpful contributions about bathroom remodelling don't belong on that bz forum but one day that spambot may have something useful to say about the game.

Someone from Atari emailed me back on Monday the 30th, I emailed back & the person emailed me back again today asking for my phone number, I gave my number & hopefully they will call me. As soon as I make an assessment & get answers I will let ya'll know. I would post stuff here but because it can be used in the wrong way by others it will be undisclosed for now.
