Guys,
My PC at home has been dead for a while. I don't play at my office. I'm about to buy a new laptop for home. I want to make sure that whatever I get, I can play BZ with it. I have two concerns:
1. Will I be able to play with WINDOWS 8?
2. I have a flat panel TV with multiple HDMI inputs, and others, too. Will I be able to use it as my video to play? I'd love the big screen effect while playing BZ.
I'm really missing playing. I hope there will still be someone to there to ColliNoBlast with me once I have a computer!
Best,
DD40

I think the answer is YES to both.

DX (or anyone else),
Have you ever played with a big screen? Does it change the "effect"?

Biggest i use is 21" CRT, BFT has used much bigger LCD monitors.
Ken made the mouse consistant for all resolutions so don't worry.

Re: Windows 8 and my TV
Years ago I played BZ on a 100" projection screen. It was cool looking but hard to play on something that big. How big is your flat screen TV? If it's under 60" it should be fine to use.

Re: Windows 8 and my TV
I tried playing on my 42" I use as a monitor, with my head around 48" from the screen, but I prefer nothing more than 24". A really large monitor up close doesn't feel right.
However, now that BZE, as well as 1.5 can be cranked to 1900x1200, I'm sure I would like it more.
Because I will say, I MUCH prefer flight sims on large screens as long as there's high enough resolution.

Re: Windows 8 and my TV
I've tried it on large monitors and even with the advantage of higher resolutions available larger screens don't make it any more playable. There is a bit of a limit. Larger screens are still limited even at 1080p and the quality degrades.
Oh and I've played it on windows 8 as well and it works just fine.
