I'm riffing Ubuntu favor of Mint this weekend, I'll try it out then. I refuse to adjust to Unity and them prancing around with it as if it's the Holy Grail while MATE is perfect and uses the same repo.
New Ubuntu = Richard Simmons work out
Linux Mint = P90X * 42

Have to agree. Unity is horrible. I've been using mint with mate for a while now and definitely prefer it.
Libuntu wasn't bad either tho but i prefer mint.
