No idea why that turned out so low res. -33°C for those of you with unfilled reading glasses prescriptions.

Tapatalk gives the option of hosting attachments on their servers as opposed to forum servers.... Is this disabled Eddy? I haven't had my forum online in over six months so I'm a bit rusty when it comes to this.

Metrics make a lot more sense.

NASA uses metric themselves yes. Their contractors do not (remember that failed Mars mission? The Mars Climate Observer? Ouch.)

Only in America would vehicles still use standard and metrics in 2013. :P

Some countries still use both, like Canada and Britain. Other countries still use imperial here and there as the process of switching over hasn't fully completed.
But in those places it's mostly private sectors that hold out. Governments have switched completely.
I know that in Canada it depends where you are. Most people I know will refer to height and weight measurements in imperial units, but I'm seeing more and more adoption of metric.
Still, I'm betting it'd be less of a pain in the a** for every mechanic out there if they didn't have to own two distinctly different wrench sets. :D

Wind chill in Canada.
uploadfromtaptalk1358623836711.jpg
11 degrees difference is significant but I'm betting the wind chill is closer to -34°C. The Weather Network is always a little off.

"
Wind Chill Warning
Cold wind chill values near minus 40 tonight and Monday morning.

A cold Arctic airmass has established itself over Northern Ontario. With not much cloud cover tonight, temperatures are expected to drop down to the minus 28 to minus 35 degree range. These cold temperatures combined with wind 10 to 15 km/h will result in wind chill values near minus 40. Wind chill values will improve and rise to above minus 40 during the day on Monday with day time heating, but with the Arctic airmass well entrenched, similar conditions are expected again Monday night into Tuesday morning. Extreme caution is advised if outdoors today as exposed skin may freeze in 5 to 10 minutes. . Please refer to your local public forecast for further details."

Here we have a few feet of snow accumulated over the winter. Not that much really.
Had our cold snap this post week - temperatures dipped as low as -47 for a few days
