DJI Phantom 3 Pro

Post by FirBirGir »

I finally decided on a quadcopter and bought the Phantom 3 Pro. It has a 4K gimbal mounted camera with first person view. I love the thing, the learning curve isn't too bad and the beginner's mode has saved my butt already :)

I'm taking it south to where will be building our retirement home and use it to do an arial survey of the property and the lake. I'll post some videos when I get back.

I uploaded some 4K video to Youtube but it was available as 360P only. Anyone know why that is?

Don't forget to register with the FAA and get your pilots license. ;)

Nice. They have become the Windows or the Apple of multirotors. Very solid platform.

Watch a couple of these and you'll be a bit more conscientious during your flight check. :D

I've watched a lot of videos and it's usually really bad piloting that crashes the quads. People also try to fly them without calibration.

I bought my wife a clone of the Phantom 3 that we can practice with. It's much less painful to crash a $200 quad :)

And I did register yesterday, now to attach the label.

A lot of guys are ignoring the ruling, as it has in the body a blatant violation of the eighth amendment and believe it will fail in court almost immediately.

The Eighth Amendment (1791) protects people from having bail or fines set at an amount so high that it would be impossible for all but the richest defendants to pay and also protects people from being subjected to cruel and unusual punishment. Although this phrase originally was intended to outlaw certain gruesome methods of punishment, it has been broadened over the years to protect against punishments that are grossly disproportionate to or too harsh for the particular crime.

Some District Justices fine people per day which can amount to more than property value before you can get an appeal. They even charge people criminally if their property isn't good looking enough for they local ordinance officer and deny a jury so you can't have their unjust ordinance tossed out. They do whatever they like in government.
