Yeah both sides tried doing the torrent thing a year or so ago.
However, on our torrents we ended up getting flooded with negative comments written by certain members of a certain group on a certain server.

My torrent has direct links for people, not worth the time to seed it.

Those are the culprits!
They went and made accounts on every torrent site it was put up on and did the same thing.
Usually signing up as "xtreme" or some variant.
