This day in US history...

Post by Sno »

A doofus requires all people to purchase healthcare, but has no enforcement clauses. Pedophiles with rub burns and drug addicts with more holes than Hellraiser rejoice.

So um, what are some good countries to move to?

no enforcement clauses
You haven't been paying attn.

The bill allows direct access to all your accounts, 401k's etc, no due process required, they simply take it.

So run on the banks, and buy Ice cream, BFT will pay for your healthcare. ;)
All truth goes through three stages:

•First it is ridiculed
•Then it is violently opposed
•Finally it is widely accepted as self evident

I dislike what's going on, and don't feel like living through the shuffling. Therefore, I'm seriously considering other options.

I saw some people today saying things like "Obama is turning America into a commie socialist country - I'm moving to Canada!"

I think it's because the healthcare system is apart of what you pay in taxes, right?

Wait a similar, that sounds familiar to obamacare :?

The nitwits that are against the government telling them what they can do to their bodies, are for obamacare. Yes, this is the future of the USA

Ha.
Basic healthcare is a part of everyone's taxes but certainly not everything.

Yes Canada is a socialist democracy (but not properly socialist in the right ways) and the current Conservative government is really taking a pounding these days.

Some people just seem to assume because people voted for you that it means you can do whatever the f*** you want with impunity. Wait. Now THAT sounds familiar!

"You can't tell me I can't get an abortion! It's my body so my decisions" somehow doesn't conflict with "Hooray for obamacare for taking care of my body!" and then there's "We want more freedom for the people" doesn't conflict with "We want you to keep that fetus."

They're all nuts....and different sides of the same coin I'm afraid.

So what are your thoughts on Rand throwing his support behind Mittens? Betraying the libertarian voting base?

I've got this all worked out. World War III refuge = Switzerland. USA going down the tubes = New Zealand. At this point I'm not affiliated with any party because I hate all of them (but most if it is concentrated at Mr. Let's Ruin The Country and his administration).

P.S. Skrillex isn't techno. Techno is good. Rand should start listening to trance. :D

It doesn't matter what he believes, he wants the government to not tell you what you should believe.

Not the federal goverent anyway - just the state.

Some things ought to be protected federally and theres no arguing that but some things he would leave up to the states and not considered covered by the constitution (and therefore federally - at least the way I see it) seem a** backwards to me.

Sure he does have some good policies but he's also an lane rand worshipper and I dunno - something about basing a nation on the ideals of a serial killer doesn't seem that wise to me.

Not literally a aerial killers ideals, obviously... but having the belief that they are thinking right because they do what they want... well people have to restrain themselves.
Its nothing more than first year philosophy student masturbation IMO.

Besides I'd even he manages to enact just one of his better policies he'd probably be assassinated.

From dealing with political affairs myself, state level is far more easier to deal with than Federal. The Federal govt exists to protect us, states to help us -- that's Ron Paul's philosophy. Stop the war on drugs and make marijuana legal = less filled prisons = $ saved, lives saved. Stop going around to other countries with military intimidation = money saved, lives saved. obama and romney = complete opposite. The worst time to listen to a politician is during their election year.

No s**t.
What worries me most about voters is that people hear either of those goons going on TV and they say absolutely nothing that means anything...basically just acting out our Orwellian nightmares - and yet people buy it and become rabid supporters.

What I find amusing is that even John McCain was quoted on election buying and rigging saying "we don't even know who is behind it."

Sure you don't, John.
